This is what past participants had to say about the experience.

"The opportunity to visit the trading floor and see (or participate) in the opening bell is something that most people don’t get the opportunity to experience.  That in itself made it special.  The visit also gave us a firsthand look at trading which was a major component of the workshop". - Ken Watson, Hamilton Heights Elementary, Arcadia

" For anyone who ever thought economics was overwhelming, the NYSE Teachers’ workshop proves it isn’t. This workshop provides teachers with insight into the historical trading floor, the roles of brokers and specialists, Stockwatch, and the Federal Reserve. NYSE.com, an invaluable technology tool for any classroom, is also explored. Educators who attend will return home with a greater understanding of this financial institution and all it stands for". - Mary Page, Central Middle School, Kokomo

"It was the most stimulating workshop-style experience I have had as an educator.  The information that was provided on-site by the people at the NYSE was second-to-none and the relationships that I built were professionally rewarding & hopefully long-lasting.  I feel infinitely more confident in my knowledge of the NYSE, which will make my teaching of the more stimulating & realistic.  This trip is a truly rare opportunity in which the benefits outweigh the costs far more than most anything I’ve encountered in life". - Tony Pottorff, Columbus East High School, Columbus

"The NYSE Teachers Workshop is the most outstanding experience in my 22 years of teaching.  From the application process to the completion of the workshop you are treated as a professional and provided with an opportunity to expand your personal and professional horizons.  The NYSE workshop itself renewed my personal journey in learning and reignited my curiosity to learn.  This in turn renewed my commitment to economic education, and especially the stock market game.  The teachers who attended were outstanding individuals who shared many ideas and I am eager to return to the classroom and use these lessons with my students". - Pat Ervin, Delta High School, Muncie
