Registration instructions for Indiana Stock Market Game

Teachers who plan to participate in the Indiana Stock Market Game should register by following the steps below. Information about rules, game dates, and other logistical data is located on the state coordinator’s web site, which can be accessed at www.econed-in.org/stockmarket.asp. All teacher inquiries regarding the Stock Market Game should be directed to the state coordinator, Jeff Sanson (e-mail jjsanson@purdue.edu or phone: 800-790-6640.)

Registration Steps

When you are ready to register for accounts for your students, go to http://www.stockmarketgame.org. Click on the How to Register tab in the upper-right corner of the page. On the next screen, choose United States from the drop down menu, and then on the next screen, choose Indiana.
Next, click on the Pre-register tab on the right side of the screen.
Next, you will choose your Registration Type. To register accounts for your classes, select “Teacher with Class(es): Teachers pre-registering one or more classes (4-12).” This will provide you a Teacher Used ID and student accounts. After your selection, click on Continue.
You will now be viewing the online teacher registration form for the Stock Market Game. Bolded text signals important instructions or fields that MUST be completed for your registration to be processed.

Remember the following:

A valid e-mail address is required. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, check your e-mail filter.
E-mails will be sent from jjsanson@purdue.edu.
Under “Which game would you like to pre-register for?” please notice there are a few options.

Mar 19 - May 25, 2012	Enrichment session 5

The difference between an enrichment session and the competition sessions is that regional and state awards are not offered during the enrichment sessions. The enrichment sessions were created to accommodate schedules that were unable to participate during the competition session.

In addtion Teacher Promo sessions are designed to provide you with an opportunity to test the website before the regular session begins.

Please distinguish between the number of CLASSES you request on the first page of the registration form and the number of TEAMS you request on the second page of the registration form (Class Data Entry Form).
After you have completed the on-line teacher registration form, click Submit Pre-Registration. You will then be prompted to submit the number of teams you wish to register for each class. A team can be made up of 3-5 participants. If you do not know the number of teams you will need, please provide your best estimate. Unused teams can be removed at a later date. Once you have completed all the information on this page, click Submit and Continue to complete your registration.

User IDs and passwords will be e-mailed to you. Keep in mind; accounts require one business day to fully activate.
